Short Courses
These courses cover a range of relevant topics to the surveying and mapping professions and are sponsored by the ASMC host organizations. Attendees of these sessions are eligible for continuing education credits.
Lightning Presentations
These showcase a series of presentations that demonstrate GIS projects and applications from across the state as well as plenty of “How to…” presentations from local professionals. Sessions will run consistently all 3 days of the conference. Presenters include state, federal, and private company professionals, as well as students. These talks demonstrate the full breadth of how Geospatial Science is applied throughout Alaska.
EXHIBIT HALL
We encourage you to meet representatives from local and national companies, professional organizations and federal and state agencies on hand to share product and service information. Learn about the latest in technologies, agency policies and future applications of systems and equipment. Exhibits are open to the public.

Come enjoy lunch and hear leaders from these established member organizations speak on current trends and directions of Surveying and Remote Sensing in Alaska.

The luncheon will be an opportunity to meet other GIS users in an informal setting during a plated sit-down lunch. There will be a fun and lively Trivia Game that you will not want to miss. Bring your colleagues and trivia masters for a chance to win trivia bragging rights and a prize.

Full-time students interested in volunteering at the conference should contact the student volunteer coordinator listed below to ask if help is still needed on the day(s) you are available. Please wait to register for the conference until after you have been scheduled to volunteer, as you will be given special instructions.
Volunteer opportunities are open to full-time students and will waive the cost of attending the conference equal to the time of service.
